This is my absolute favorite pizza place in Port Washington! And, one of my favorite pizza places, in general. Hands down, I recommend their chismo - cheese, sausage, mushroom and onion. It is so so so good! And, there is no need for extra anything (cheese, toppings, sauce). They put just the right amount of everything on it. It's a thin crust. Not super thin, but definitely not a thick crust. Whether you are eating in or carrying out, be prepared to wait. I've carried out several times, and more often than not, it takes longer than they say. I'm not talking a couple minutes. I'm talking 15+ minutes. I have only eaten in once. However, there was a fairly long wait for the pizza. Much longer than other typical pizza place, from my past experience. Don't let the wait deter you from trying out this place. Just be prepared to wait for some awesomeness that is John's pizza.

If you are looking for a pizza in Port Washington, John's is the place to go. Their pizza is always amazing! My wife and I often order carry out, and have never had a bad pizza from John's. They also have a heart stopping garlic cheese bread that is top notch. I highly recommend a John's pizza to everyone!!

Best Pizza in town!! Locally owned. One of my personal favorites. I'm trying to think of my favorite but I've never had a bad one. The garlic bread is also outstanding. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Here's the skinny! We ordered carryout, delivered on time as promised. Pizza (double crust) was fabulous! Chicken wings were atypical, boneless...more like nuggets, they were good as well. Forego the $6 junk salad, it's value is more like $1.99. Delivered salad without forks, and no crushed red pepper or parmesan to top the pizza.

We ordered carry out pizza. It was way underdone. We walked 2 blocks home and half the toppings slid off the pizza. Barely even cut, had to recut every slice. Sausage lacked any flavor. Considering they have only 3 pasta dishes on the menu we thought pizza would be the star. We thought wrong.

This is the type of place that we love to support! It's family run and they take excellence seriously. We ordered a double-dough Hawaiian pizza. Ingredients were fresh and plentiful. Pizza came out a little under-done, but they quickly cooked it more to our preference. And it was great. We then enjoyed homemade cheesecake of the day, which happened to be a turtle cheesecake and quite delicious. While we just had the pizza, the menu was extensive with a number of sandwiches, homemade soups, pastas, and other family-friendly options--and the prices were surprisingly low. I wish we had a place like this closer to home; we would be visiting often. Well done!

This Pizza is always the best by far, and let me also add, the best garlic bread. Love It!!

I almost always go to John's for carry out. I've sat down for dinner there twice, the service was fine. The food is quite good, for the most part. The mozzarella sticks are in eggroll wrappers and are presented nicely. I love deep fried, breaded cauliflower so I'm a fan of that. The beef sandwich is good. I just plain don't go nuts for pizza, so when I do eat it it's usually just fine with me however it's done. I'm not a connoisseur, but my friends who love pizza say this is great pizza. You can see them rolling out the dough in the kitchen, so it's fresh and handmade. On the down side, it's a small place so if it's busy, you'll be waiting for your food. Like I said, I order carry out so it's not a problem. But I've been in there where people are complaining about the wait, and you can clearly see they're overwhelmed. If you're in town, it's good, solid, reasonably priced food in a nice atmosphere. If you're in a hurry, check to see how many tables are full and make a decision on that.

I loved this place! Growing up in Chicago I would travel and stay in port Washington at least once a year. I never had food from johns pizza but it is amazing!! I had the bbq chicken pizza yummy!! Make sure to get their double dough!! My fiance had their ravioli with meatballs. He kept telling me with every bite how wonderful it was! If it staying in the area this place is defiantly a must have!!

John's has some of the best pizza I've ever had. It's a perfect combination. Not too saucy, not too crusty, not too cheesy, it just all works great together.

Yikes this was truly horrible. My husband and I sat in the dining room and did not order any pizza. That may be good, but I won't be trying any soon. We had a quesadilla appetizer which was so tiny! Not the typical large shell used by every other restaurant. My husband had the shrimp. He said it was awful (and he is not picky when it comes to shrimp). I had the chicken alfredo. Where was the sauce? There was a large amount of mozzarella cheese melted over the top of plain noodles. Geez, if you're out of sauce let me know and I'll order something else--you're not pulling one over on me with that mess! The dish had a plastic taste to it so it was obviously stored in plastic and reheated in plastic. Finally, the waitress only paid any attention to my husband. Hahaha, this was humourous and gave us a good laugh all night because she so blatantly ignored me but really, how unprofessional!

The best pizza around! They have a great selection of appetizers and drinks, too. I think the prices are a little steep, but it's worth it. They deliver, but they're not open until 4 or 5pm, so don't plan on getting lunch.

My favorite pizza place in Port. They used to be on a side street off of the downtown drag, but now they are on Franklin, the one that runs through downtown. Its a better location for being noticed, but they fill up pretty quick sometimes. I love the pizza. Not quite an ultra thin crust, but thin. All the usual combinations of toppings, and a very tasty vegetarian version. The EBA means everything but anchovies, and though its not quite everything its as close as I want to come. If you like anchovies, be a wise-guy and order an EBA and ask them to add on the anchovies. The Taco pizza, well, sorry, but its just too weird for me. If I'm after Mexican food I'll go to Beanies. Good assortment of appetizers (onion rings are excellent, and you get a generous helping). Some soup and salads, sandwiches, and a few pasta dishes round out the menu (lasagna and penne are fine choices). Pop, ice tea, and beer for the drinking (Leinie's and New Glarus in the bottle! Wooohooo!) Also some chicken and fish buckets. BUT I recommend going for the pizza. Not a big place, but there's good seating inside. Looks real nice and cozy in there, booths and tables, some nice old photographs on the wall. For some reason the decor especially appeals to me in the winter, maybe because it looks nice and warm then! So if you're ever stumbling around the streets of Port in the dead of winter for whatever God-forsaken reason, by all means get in there and thaw out and eat some pizza, have a beer, and then get out there and finish your business! 'Tis a family-run establishment, and the service is friendly. It gets busy, so sometimes you have to wait a bit for your meal, but it's a good place to wait, and the pizza is worth it. Popular with my fellow Porters, and also good for take-out (estimate a 20-25 min wait). m-Th 5pm to 10pm, F,S - 4:30 to Midnight, Sun - 4:30 t 10pm.
